Mr. Curtis Edward Joyce, 78, passed away Friday March 23, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born April 14, 1933 in Forsyth Co. to the late Charles Martin Joyce and Letha Mae Love Joyce. Mr. Joyce was of the Baptist faith and was a retired truck driver for Allied Systems formerly (Motor Convoy). He enjoyed spending time with his wife Jo Ann, playing golf, hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Jerry Joyce. Mr. Joyce is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jo Ann Joyce of the home, two sons, Ronnie Bare and wife Patricia of Clemmons and Mike Joyce and wife Vicky of Winston-Salem, three granddaughters, Wendy Terry (Carlton), Jenny Joyce and Mindy Johnson (Jarrod), three great-grandchildren, Charles Terry, Erika Terry and Eden Joyce, three sisters, Mary Noah of Lewisville, Charlene Blythe (Bob) of Florida and Dean Cheek (Allen) of Lewisville, two brothers, Dan Joyce of Stanleyville and Phillip Joyce (Bonnie) of Walkertown and a special niece, Betty Sluder . Mr. Joyce is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. A graveside service for Mr. Joyce will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2012 at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel is assisting the Joyce family.
