Curtis Ebert Dotson, 83, passed away at home on February 3, 2022. He was born on December 25, 1938, to Theodore Dotson and Grace Walkup Dotson in Meadow Bridge, WV. Curt-Villa was an avid fisherman and family man. He loved westerns and blue grass music. Curtis retired as a sharp-shooter in the Army and Army Reserves. He then went on to retire after 40 years from King Sash and Doors. Curtis was preceded in death by his brothers, James Dotson, Sr., Raymond Dotson, and his twin, Carl Dotson; as well as two nieces and four nephews. Surviving are his wife, Linda New Dotson of Winston-Salem; son, David Lee Dotson of Winston-Salem; granddaughter, Kearston Dotson of Kentucky; stepdaughter, Vickie Smith and her daughters, Taylor and Leeanna Smith of Winston-Salem; great grandson, Ayden Smith of Winston-Salem; sister, Jessie Dotson Williamson of Gainesville, GA; brothers, Guy Dotson of Valley Mills, TX, and Robert Dotson of Walnut Cove; a very special niece, Leola Ramsey of Gainesville, GA; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews; and his furry best friend, Ellie. A funeral will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Avery Varnadore officiating.
