KERNERSVILLE- Mr. Coy Smith Chamelin, 82, passed away Friday, April 30, 2021. He was born January 4, 1939 in Forsyth County to the late John Ray Chamelin and Esther Smith Chamelin.

Coy served in the United States Army Reserves. He retired from RJR Archer after 35 years of service.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three brothers Johnny Ray Chamelin, Bobby B. Chamelin (Emi), and Billy L. Chamelin.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years Brenda Cook Chamelin; two sons, Don Chamelin (Lynette) and Kent Chamelin (Lisa); four grandchildren Megan Enscore (Daniel), Jacob S. Chamelin, Courtney Murray (Matthew), Luke A. Chamelin; two great-grandchildren, Kaiden and Tate and one great-grandson on the way; two brothers, Charles Chamelin (Joyce), Jerald Chamelin (Paulette); two sister-in-laws, Bobbie Lou Chamelin, Linda Chamelin and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on 3:00PM, Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory with Pastor Brian Taylor officiating. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
