Cornelia Harman

GREENSBORO - Mary Cornelia Knight Harman, 91, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at Friends Home of Guilford. Cornelia was born June 8, 1926 in Guilford County to Oliver Newton and Alta Winslow Knight. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a talented musician and a very creative writer. Cornelia was a devoted teacher who is still remembered fondly by her students 50 years later! In addition to her parents, Cornelia was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William Albert Harman, Sr.; two sisters, Wilma and Dorothy Knight; and one brother, Oliver Knight, Jr. Surviving are her sons, William Harman, Jr. (wife, Charlotte) and Thomas Harman (wife, Donna); two grandchildren, William Harman, III (wife, Cara) and Rebecca Hull (husband, Sean); five great grandchildren, Allyson, MacKenzie, Jace, Jayven, and Eva; and numerous cousins and other family members. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, February 17, 2018 at New Garden Friends Meeting with Pastor Margaret Webb officiating.
