Cornelia Werba Geertsema

Mrs. Cornelia (Cora) Werba-Geertsema passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. Mrs. Geertsema was born February 25, 1925 in Den Haag of The Netherlands. In 1953 she moved to Canada with her husband and two children. In 1963 She moved with her family and four children to New York state and then to New Jersey. In 1990 they moved from New Jersey to Winston-Salem where she was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Geertsema volunteered many years in the prison ministers in Winston-Salem. She is survived by her four children, twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday February 24, 2015 at Calvary Baptist church with Rev. Brian King officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
