Cora Mcgee

Mrs. Cora Lee Manning McGee, 97, passed away peacefully Wednesday March 9, 2022 at her home. She was born December 27, 1924 to the late Walter Lee Manning and Rosa Shelton Manning. Cora while her health would allow loved bowling, taking vacations, and hunting. She loved her family, had a passion for gardening, read her bible daily, and loved to watch gameshows as well as football. In addition to her parents Cora was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Alfred McGee Sr., a son; John Alfred McGee Jr., and her eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by a daughter; Doris McGee Lawson (Johnny), four grandchildren; Benjamin Wade Lawson, Zachary Ryan Lawson, Christopher John McGee (Helen), and Sabrina Leigh Hennelly (Pat), four great-grandchildren; Harrison McGee, Isabella McGee, Colleen Wise, and Conner Hennelly, a great-great-grandson; Brighton Wise, a former son-in-law; Dickie Lawson’ and numerous loving nieces and nephews . A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Sunday March 13, 2022 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Rev. Brian Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00PM Monday March, 14, 2022 at Crestview Memorial Park.
