Mr. Conrad Ray Scott Sr., 71, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born on April 27, 1941 in Forsyth Co. to the late Rassie Franklin Scott and Sadie Ella Warden Scott. Conrad was a longtime member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. with 32 years of service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who will be missed deeply by all who knew him. Conrad loved his dog ""Tuffy"", camping and bluegrass music. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Ella Mae Smith Vanhoy, Marie Stoltz Pinnix and Ruby Lineback Rogers and a brother, Charles Franklin Scott. Conrad is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Joyce Church Scott of the home, a daughter, Patty Scott Crow, two sons, Conrad Ray Scott Jr. and Gregory Lee Scott all of Walkertown, four grandchildren, Joshua Crow (Danielle), Jennifer Sheppard, Magen Crow and Amber Scott, four great-grandchildren, Jaelyn, Asher, Starr and Harmony, a sister-in-law, Helen Scott and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Rev. Bill Currie and Joshua Crow officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 this evening Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to; Shiloh United Methodist Church Building Fund, 6496 Baux Mtn. Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
