Mrs. Connie Lynne White Watson, 67, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020. She was born in Winston-Salem on July 22, 1953, to the late Henry Roscoe and Julia Ann Hawks White. Lynne graduated from Parkland High School and attended Winslom College. She was retired from Sara Lee/Hanesbrands with over forty years of dedicated service. Lynne loved crafts and knitting for her children and grandchildren. She loved traveling, especially to the beach where she would enjoy a cup coffee on the porch overseeing the waves as they rolled onto the shore. Lynne loved the Lord with all her heart.

First and foremost, she was a dedicated daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother that treasured and embraced every moment with them. Lynne loved her roles as “Grams” and “Grammy.” She had a vivacious personality, and her laugh was contagious, you could not help but smile with her. Lynne will be greatly missed.

Throughout her cancer batter, not unlike her life, Lynne was determined and stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance look like. She did not lose her fight; God just called her home before we were ready to say goodbye. Her spirit, memories, and love will live in our hearts and minds as we learn to navigate our new normal. As she would say, “I’ll be right here when the morning comes, I’ll be right here and I ain’t gonna run.”

Surviving are her loving husband of thirty-seven years, Charles Watson, Jr.; her daughter, Stephanie Watson Millirons and husband Dustin; her son, Zach Watson and wife Lyndsi Driggers Watson; and five grandchildren: Mackenzie and Imogene Millirons, and Masyn, MadyAnne, and McKinnyn Watson.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, October 5, 2020, at First Baptist Church of Welcome, officiated by Rev. Dustin Millirons, Rev. Dwight Cartner, and Rev. Jonathan Goodman. Interment will follow the service at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to Joyce Meyer Ministries, P.O. Box 655, Fenton, MO 63026. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
