Connie Lawson

Mrs. Connie Brinegar Lawson,75, passed away August 1, 2022, at her home. She was born on August 21, 1946, in Forsyth County to the late Robert Abraham Brinegar and Minnie Emma Ethel Orander Brinegar. Connie worked as a Postmaster in the post office at Wake Forest University for 33 years. She was of the Baptist faith and loved the Lord. Connie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who loved traveling to the mountains. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James Vernon Lawson Sr. and a son, Richard Lee Lawson. Connie is survived by a son, James Vernon Lawson Jr. (Sharon), two daughters, Kelly Lawson, and Kimberly Stevens (Thomas), five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, a sister, Nancy Baucom, a sister-in-law, Diane Riggins, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday August 4, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastor Tommy Lee Moss Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 1:45PM Thursday August 4, 2022, at the funeral home.
