Mrs. Connie Moser Grubbs, age 101 died peacefully Tuesday afternoon March 17, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Grubbs was born November 4, 1907 in Forsyth County to the late John Silas and Anna Florence Bolejack Moser. She was a member of Corinth Church of Christ in Germanton. She loved spending time with her family and worked hard on the family farm. In addition to her parents Mrs. Grubbs was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Grubbs, an infant daughter Eleanor, a granddaughter Tracey Grubbs, Step-grandson Jack Ernest, Five sisters and three brothers. Surviving is one daughter: Nora Sue (John) Banner and one son: Jerry (Jean) Grubbs. Four grandchildren: Kathy (Dennis) Bennett, Ivy Banner, Dean Grubbs and Davey (Susan) Grubbs. Step-Grandchild: Jill Warlick, Five great grandchildren: Laura (Darren) Overcash, Matthew (Jennifer) Grubbs, Sherri Bennett, Kayla Grubbs, and Austin Grubbs. One step great grandchild Brandon Warlick and one great great grandchild: Dylan Grubbs Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 20, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at Corinth Church of Christ by James Springer Minister, Kenneth Smith Minister and Dereck Mushayamunda Minister. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall Thursday evening, March 19, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103
