Colleen Gibson Copple

Colleen Gibson Copple, 82, affectionately known as ""Toodle or Tootie"" passed away peacefully at Forsyth Medical Center on Sunday, June 28, 2015 surrounded by her family. Colleen lived her life by the Golden Rule. She loved the Lord and her family. In addition to her parents, Colleen was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ross Copple and a sister, Maxcine Cecil. She is survived by her son, Joel, wife Betsye and granddaughters, Christina Copple husband Andrew Crawford and Kathryn Copple; daughter, Marjy Lambeth and husband Ray. Also Todd Lambeth and wife Gia and daughter Ana; one sister, Betsy Laughlin; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. James C. Newsome, Jr. and Rev. Dan Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery in High Point NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friedberg Moravian Church in Winston-Salem, 2178 Friedberg Church Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27127, or to Hospice in Winston-Salem, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103, where Colleen volunteered for many years.
