Colleen Blevins

Kernersville – Colleen Quate Blevins passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center. Colleen was born on January 17, 1932, in Winston-Salem, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Jethro Quate and Nell Williams Quate, as well as her brother Homer Quate, sister Jo Puryear, and an infant grandson, Richard Alan Blevins. On March 3, 2015, she lost her husband of 57 years, Richard Kenneth (Dick) Blevins. She is survived by her three sons, Mark, David (Tammy), and Phillip (Juanita Gaskins), as well as seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She will be remembered as a kind, generous, and loving person. Colleen will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
