Winston-Salem – Mr. Colbrit “Oliver” Wooten, 68, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Florida on October 11, 1952 to Colbrit Wesley and Wanda Lucky Wooten. Oliver was a Christian and loved the Lord. He loved the ocean and the beach. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Oliver was a great man, and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Oliver was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Mercer. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 39 years, Susan Fass Wooten; two daughters, Geri Wooten and Angeline Sills; one son, Oliver "Seth" Wooten; four grandchildren; and one sister, Nancy Barefield.

With social distancing observed and masks requested, a graveside service for Oliver will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory with Antonio Landa officiating. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
