Mr. Clinton Norris Boyer, 86, died Sunday, July 5, 2015 at his home. He was born March 30, 1929 in Forsyth County to the late Sidney and Nellie Doty Boyer. Mr. Boyer worked for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. for 37 ½ years in the sheet metal department. For a number of years, he enjoyed working as a 4-H Leader in Davie County. Mr. Boyer was a member of Green Meadows Baptist Church where he was part of the Willing Workers Class and he also held many positions within the church. Surviving is his wife of 67 ½ years, Frances Hauser Boyer whom he married on August 10, 1947; two sons, Larry Boyer (Linda) of Zebulon; Randy Boyer (Janice) of Advance; three grandchildren, Angie Marshall (Randall) of Advance, Jeffrey Boyer and Philip Boyer both of Zebulon; four great-grandchildren, Reid Marshall and Evan Marshall both of Advance and Joey Boyer and Zackary Carter both of Zebulon; special cousin, Abram Barefoot (Glen) of Leland; sister, Ada McBride of Clemmons; sister-in-law, Dorothy Breedlove of Winston-Salem and a brother-in-law, John Hauser of Cary. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Green Meadows Baptist Church with Rev. Josh Greene officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 PM at the church prior to the service.
