Clifton Eugene Pierce

PIERCE - GERMANTON Mr. Clifton Eugene Pierce passed away Monday, February 13, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born April 15, 1927 in Edgecombe County, NC to the late Lucy Ann Mathis Pierce and James Arthur Pierce. Mr. Pierce proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He attended First Baptist Church of Stanleyville. Mr. Pierce loved hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pierce was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Mae Virginia Manning Pierce; son, Albert Eugene Pierce; two brothers, Henry Lee and L.G.; and also two sisters, Elizabeth and Hazel. Surviving are his daughter, Brenda McKnight and husband, David; a special niece and nephew, Doris Lawson and Larry Pierce; niece, Margaret Marion; two great-nephews, Ben and Zac Lawson; and also a special sister-in-law, Cora McGee. A funeral service will be conducted 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 15 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Peter Cain, Minister and Rev. Eddie Honeycutt officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 16 at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall.
