Mr. Clifton Jones ""Chic"" Miller, 88, of Mocksville passed away Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center after several years of declining health. He was born October 5, 1922 in Forsyth County to Jesse Ben and Ada Jones Miller. He lived in Winston-Salem for many years and moved to Farmington in 1968. Mr. Miller was the owner of C.J. Miller Painting and Decorating for over 30 years and served as a signalman in the Navy during WWII. He was a member of Farmington Methodist Church and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma and survived by three children, Roger Miller and wife Ellen of Mocksville, Dan Miller and wife Lisa of Winston-Salem, and Krista Helton and husband Joe of Franklin, TN. He had seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Monday at Farmington United Methodist Church with Pastor Phillip Brande officiating. Burial will follow in Farmington Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
