Mrs. Cleo Teague Wishon, 79, died unexpectedly Tuesday, October 6, 2015. She was born in Forsyth County to the late Lonnie and Cordie Teague. She graduated from Mineral Springs High School. Her voice lessons were in public schools and Salem College. Mrs. Wishon had a 23 year career in Civil Service working for the Department of the Army, the VA, the IRS, and the FAA, which included various locations of Washington, DC, Denver, Co, and Winston-Salem. She was a member of Rural Hall Christian Church and loved her church family dearly. She was also a former member of Matthews Chapel where she served as Choir Director for 12 years. Mrs. Wishon always said she would leave her house, but she would never leave her wonderful neighbors, many of which have lived over 50 years in the same neighborhood. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wishon was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, Warren W. Wishon; her precious son, Ward W. Wishon; two brothers, L.J. Teague and Don Teague; sister, Maxine Teague Bunting; and her grand-dogs: Shaba, Belle, Maggie, and Bailey. Mrs. Wishon is survived by daughter, Corrine Scott; grandson, Nicholas Ogburn; and great-grandson, Reid Ogburn all of Winston-Salem; her twin brother, Leo Teague (Valinda) of Pilot Mountain; sister, Irene Teague McGee (Bill) of Arcadia, CA; her constant devoted companion, Crystal; daughter-in-law, Susan Biglin of Lincolnton; sisters-in-law, Rita Wishon of Satsuma, FL and Mary Teague of Harmony; dear friends, Sonny and Nancy Wingfield (no person could ever ask for more dear friends in a lifetime). She is also survived by numerous other brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews who she loved dearly and was loved in return. To honor Cleo's wishes, there will be a private graveside service conducted by Ministers Lamar Tillman, Wesley McCarter, and Rev. Jimmy Wooten. There will be no formal visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Rural Hall Christian Church, PO Box 146, Rural Hall, NC 27045 or Samaritan Ministries, 414 E Northwest Boulevard, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
