Mr. Clemie ""Nelson"" Sexton, 85, of Winston-Salem passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born on July 31, 1929 in Greenville County, SC to Louisie Frady and James Lawrence Sexton. Mr. Sexton was in the U.S. Army serving during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Teamsters local #391. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Virginia Lea Sexton; four brothers, two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Hannah Sexton; four sons, Robert ""Bobby"" A. Sexton and wife Donna, James ""Jimmy"" F. Sexton, Timothy ""Timmy"" D. Sexton and wife Kimberly, William J. Thornton and wife Dianne; one daughter, Sandra Elaine Allen and husband Richard; three children from a previous marriage, Nelson ""Dale"" Sexton, Joy ""Lynette"" Sexton, Clemie N. Sexton; seven grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service with military honors by VFW memorial honor guard will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Parklawn Memorial Park with Chaplain Jim Dyer officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
