Advance- Mr. Clay Asberry James, 71, passed away February 3, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born June 6, 1940 in Davie County to the late Samuel James and Bessie Boyd James. Mr. James retired from Gravely Tractor with 23 years of service and subsequently was owner of Clay James Lawn Service. He enjoyed gardening and growing tomatoes. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Margie Huckabee, Mary Clodfelter, Floyd James, Jessie James, Richard James, and Laura Lee Durham and he is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Lowery James; two daughters, Jennifer Weber (Adam) and Angie Hendricks; two step-children, Linda Wood (Buster) and James Rogers (Carla); 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nellie Grayley (Ralph) and Myrtle Smith (Thomas); his special little Toy Poodle, Angel. He is also survived by numerous loving family members. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:30pm, Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2:00pm at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel prior to the service.
