Claudia Morgan Sinks

After a period of declining health, Claudia Morgan Sinks died Monday, July 14, 2014. She was born on February 8, 1918 to Eva and Lee Morgan. For most of her adult years she lived and worked in the Washington, D.C. area, retiring at the age of 80 to move to Winston-Salem to be near her family. Claudia was pre-deceased by her only son, Frederick Lee McCoy; a sister, Deena Jarrad, and three Marine brothers, James P., Glen B. and Warren G. Morgan. She is survived by a brother, Rod Lee Morgan of Atlanta; sister, Athleen Lockhart (Thomas) of Clemmons; several nieces and nephews who brought much happiness to her; April Tzanis (Patrick) of Florida, Warren Prins of Maryland, Jay Lee Morgan (Denise), Zack and Chloe Morgan of Atlanta, Joseph M. Lockhart (Selena), Abigail and Benjamin Lockhart of Raleigh, Susan Bullock (Kevin), Pamela Fulton (Randy) and Anna and Adam Fulton of Lewisville; also surviving is a caring church family at Calvary Baptist Church and a great number of friends that she truly cherished. Claudia was much loved and admired. She leaves us with memories that we will forever hold dear and celebrate. A memorial service will be held 1:30 PM Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Mr. Ken Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:30 PM prior to the service.
