Claudia Joines Brown

Mrs. Claudia Joines Brown, 87, of Winston-Salem died Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Brown was born in Wilkes County on December 28, 1921 to the late Benjamin and Rachel Reeves Joines. She was a former member of Urban Street Baptist Church. Mrs. Brown retired from Hanes Knitwear with 45 years of service and was an avid fisherman. She is survived by a son Mark Brown and grandson Nolan both of Lewisville; a sister Pauline Atchley of Clemmons; a lifelong friend Lucille Woods and her precious dog Princess. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, March 2, 2009 at Salem Cemetery with Pastor David Pattisall officiating.The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm, Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
