Mr. Claude Edward ""Ed"" Warren, age 79 of Pfafftown died Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born October 11, 1933 in Forsyth County to the late Claude Lee and Noma Wiles Warren. Mr. Warren was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church in Rural Hall and retired as a self-employed contractor. He was a veteran of the 8457th Military Police Company of the U.S. Army (1954-1956). Mr. Warren was an active member of the National Wild Turkey Federation Club of Forsyth County and was an avid hunter. He especially enjoyed gardening and had been a member of the North Carolina Hosta Society. In addition to his parents Mr. Warren was preceded in death by a son, Brian Edward Warren, a brother, John A. Warren, a sister, Shirley N. Warren and a brother-in-law; Richard D. Lyons, Sr. Surviving are his wife of 57 years of marriage, Ina Jean Mabe Warren; two daughters, Beth Allison Warren Murray and her husband Charles Vernon Murray and Jena Denise Warren; two grandchildren, Rebecca Kathleen Murray and Samuel Edward Murray; a sister, Carolyn Warren Mueller (Gordon), a brother, Ronald D. Warren (Pam), Two sisters-in-law, Mary Mabe Lyons and Katherine K. Warren, one aunt, Venice Warren Myers, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Warren will be held Monday, April 1, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Rural Hall by Rev. Duncan Martin. Burial will follow at Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery in Rural Hall with Military Burial Honors conducted by King American Legion Post 290. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, April 1st from 1:30 until 3:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Antioch United Methodist Church, 9220 Antioch Church Road, Rural Hall, NC 27045.
