Claude Jackson Dills Jr.

Claude Jackson Dills Jr., 69, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born in Forsyth Co. to the late Claude Jackson Dills Sr. and Blanche Westmoreland Dills. Mr. Dills graduated from Mineral Springs High School and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. with 37 years of service. He was a member of North Point Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. C.J. was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed greatly by all who knew him. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Zora Stewart. Mr. Dills is survived by his loving wife of 49 ½ years, Bonnie Wooten Dills, his daughter, Jennifer D. Willard and husband Jeff of Oak Ridge, two sons, Jonathan Scott Dills and wife Robin of Rural Hall and Joshua Webster Dills and wife Erin of Wilmington, four grandchildren, Olivia, Benjamin, Audrey and Parker and one sister, Jacqueline Cromer of Winston-Salem. Funeral services for Mr. Dills will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2011 at North Point Baptist Church with Pastor Skip Furrow officiating. A private entombment service will be conducted on Monday, January 17, 2011 at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 this evening, January 15, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Point Baptist Church, 4980 University Pkwy., Winston-Salem, NC 27106
