Mrs. Clarice Myers Binkley, 90, of Winston-Salem died Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Oak Forest Health and Rehab Center. She was born April 4, 1924 in Davidson County, the daughter of the late Flavius Harrison and Neaty Sechrest Myers. Mrs. Binkley was a member of Johnsontown United Methodist Church in Thomasville and attended Konnoak Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. She was retired from Haverty's Furniture Company following 20 years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Black, her second husband, Donald Binkley, her daughter, Vickie L. Hicks, two sisters and four brothers. Survivors include one granddaughter, Julie Hicks Smith of Germanton; two great grandchildren, Tripp Smith and Tyler Griffith of Germanton; five step children, Joe Binkley, Sam Binkley(Kim), Mari Binkley (Kenny), Beth Huggins (David) and Donna Bolen; eight step grandchildren, Sam Binkley, Jr., Wesley Binkley, Fayanne Huggins, Chase Bolen, Darryl Bolen (Tracy), Scott Bolen (Kristie), Eric Belen and Ricky Bolen, and several special friends, Bobbie Collins, Viola Moorefield, Bonny Francis, Earlene Quesinberry, Jean Joyce, Shelby McKinney and Mr. and Mrs. Allan Lambert, and her special companion, Bandit. The funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. John Bishop and Rev. Robert Steagall officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, 4 A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, NC 27407.
