Clarence L. Tucker

Colfax - Clarence L. Tucker, 89, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Clapp's Nursing Center. He was born December 19, 1921 in Guilford Co. to the late Luther M. and Erie Jones Tucker. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Hettie Nuckles Tucker. Surviving are two children, Shelby Keen and husband, Danny of Randleman, Perry Tucker of Kernersville; four grandchildren, Darin and Patrick Tucker, Scott and Adam Keen; three great-grandchildren, Evan and Ashlyn Tucker and Stephanie Keen; one brother, Odell Tucker and wife, Kathryn of Greensboro; one sister, Mary Combs of Opelika, AL. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Smith Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Peters officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Friday, August 26, 2011 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. Memorials may be made to charity of donor's choice.
