Clarence 'Bud' McCurdy

Kernersville - Mr. Clarence ""Bud"" McCurdy, 93, passed away Saturday October 6, 2012 at High Point Regional Hospital. ""Bud"" was born in Millwood Shaft PA. on April 6, 1919 to Elizabeth and Lawrence McCurdy. He was a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church in Colfax. Clarence was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 70 and a half years; Mary McCurdy, six brothers, and three sisters. Surviving are four daughters, Goldie Jones (Gene) of Kernersville, Delores Gindlesperger ( Pastor Bill) of Burlington , Bernice Johnson of Kernersville, and Carol Peters (Chuck) of Kernersville, one sister, Rosie Moyer of Superior, PA., seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Smith Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Peters and Rev. Bill Gindlesperger officiating. The family will receive friends from 6pm - 8pm Monday, October 8, 2012 at the church. The family would like for memorials to be made to Kevin and Beth White (granddaughter) missionaries to Bolivia in c/o of Smith Grove Baptist Church 2707 Sandy Ridge Rd.
