Clarence Eugene Holcomb

Mr. Clarence Eugene Holcomb, age 78 of King passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. Mr. Holcomb was born September 5, 1936 in Forsyth County to Claude Daniel and Helen Virginia Wooten Holcomb. He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in King and retired from Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. In addition to his parents Mr. Holcomb was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Lee Sykes Holcomb, one son, Eddie Franklin Holcomb, one grandson, Roy L. Parrish III and one brother, Hugh Holcomb.

Mr. Holcomb is survived by three daughters; Deborah (Roy) Parrish, Cathy (Howard) Berry and Lindsay Holcomb. Two sons; Michael Holcomb, Sr. and Michael Holcomb, Jr. Eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren. One sister, Ruth Powell and one brother, James Holcomb. Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Holcomb will be held Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Mountain View Baptist Church in King by Rev. Brian Beverly. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall Friday evening October 24th from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M.
