Christy Lord

Christy Marie Lord, 61, passed away at her home on October 10, 2021. Christy was born on August 23, 1960, to Charles R. Shook, Sr, and Juanita Henderson Shook in Winston-Salem. She attended Salem College and Wake Forest University. Christy was employed by American Airlines for over ten years and worked as a reservations representative in the tariff department. She always had a special place in her heart for animals. She enjoyed trips to Myrtle Beach where she had planned to retire. Christy was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her brother, Charles R. Shook, Jr, and his wife Kimbela.  She will be sadly missed by family and friends.  No formal services will be held. Christy will be laid to rest at Myrtle Beach. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Christy’s memory to: St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project, or to your local Humane Society.
