NEW PORT RITCHEY, FL Mr. Christopher Joseph Scicli, 25, passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 29, 2008. He was born in Fairfax Co., Virginia on September 21, 1982 the son of Robert Lee and Michelle Flippin Scicli. Christopher proudly served his country in Iraq in the United States Army / Transportation Unit. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Louis Scicli and Mildred Scicli. Christopher is survived by his loving parents, Robert Lee and Michelle Flippin Scicli of Walnut Cove, his maternal grandmother, Shirley Ramey of Low Gap, his maternal grandfather, Eugene Flippin of Low Gap, maternal aunt, Myra Frick of Richboro, PA , maternal uncle, Matthew Flippin of Lewisville, paternal uncles, Randy Scicli of Port Ritchey,FL, Richard Scicli of Bedford, VA, Ronnie Scicli of Walnut Cove and Louis Scicli of Woodbridge, VA. Christopher is also survived by several cousins and many friends. Memorial services with Military Rites for Christopher will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Rev. Waymon Monroe officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home or at other times at his parent's home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Christopher's name to; Wounded Warrior Project, 7020 AC Skinner Pkwy., Suite 100, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
