Christopher Kevin Haymore

Christopher Kevin Haymore, 63, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully at his home on November 9, 2024. Chris was born on March 14, 1961, to Lynda Hale Haymore and Roger Gray Haymore in Surry County. He graduated from East Carolina University, but he bled Carolina Blue. His love of Carolina Basketball ran so deep, he never left the house without wearing something that represented UNC. He was an avid believer in Festivus, enjoyed music, movies, drawing, and humor. One of his favorite films was “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”. He loved seeing his grandchildren laugh by making silly faces or getting down on the floor and chasing them.

In early adulthood he worked as a local radio DJ in Winston-Salem. Most recently, he was employed with WestRock in Winston Salem, where he was well loved. He was a devoted son, brother, Pops, and Daddy Grandpa. He will be missed immeasurably by all who knew him.

 In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by his daughter Danielle “Dani” Haymore and Great Dane, Athena. Surviving are his son, Seth Haymore (Ariel); grandchildren, Hailey and Adalynn; sister, Tracie Haymore; and his beloved four-legged boy, Merlin. No formal services will be held.
