Christine Rominger Skipworth

KERNERSVILLE-Christine Rominger Skipworth, 70, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born May 20, 1940 in Forsyth Co. to the late Henry and Ollie Goode Rominger. Mrs. Skipworth was a member of Deep River Church of Christ in High Point. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Allie R. Idol; four brothers, Henry, Ray, Eddie, and Benjamin Rominger. Surviving are her loving husband of 51 years, Joe Skipworth of the home; one daughter, Darae S. Hamilton and husband, Michael of Clemmons; one son, Cary Joe Skipworth of Madison; two sisters, Fran R. Mabie of Lincoln, NE, and Alpha R. Price and husband, Jim of King; one brother, Vance Rominger and wife Rela of Graham; three grandchildren, Alisha Hamilton, Samantha and Robert Skipworth; and one sister-in-law, Margaret Rominger of Concord. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2010 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Evangelist David Galloway and Evangelist John Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 7-9:00 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the funeral home.
