Christina Wilson

Christina Wilson passed away November 20, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born November 25, 1948 to William Joel Wilson, Sr. and Jeanette Goforth Wilson in Forsyth County. She had a life-long passion for living, nature and the environment. Christina also had a deep personal spirituality and a love of angels. She was employed at Watson Sink & Associates. Christina was preceded in death by her father William J. Wilson, Sr.; as well as a brother, William J. Wilson, Jr. Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Akerson and husband John; her mother, Jeanette Wilson; her nephew, Joel Wilson and wife Brooke and their family, Tyler, Brandon and Kelsi; and also her aunt, Joyce Pulliam. The family offers heartfelt thanks to Dr. Genevieve A. Wroblewski, Dr. Mrinalini Joshi, and the entire staff at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice for their compassion and persistent care. A celebration of Christina's life will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, 3315 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, with the Rev. Dr. Gus Thomas and the Rev. Dr. Cecil Cave officiating. A visitation will follow. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103; or Mineral Springs Baptist Church, 3733 Ogburn Ave, Winston Salem, NC 27105. Online condolences may be made at Hayworth-Miller.com.
