Christie Revis Kraft

Christie Kraft passed away at Wake Forest Baptist Health on August 28, 2014. She was born on December 26, 1966 to Rev. James D. Revis and Ruth Rostron Revis in Atlanta, GA. The daughter of missionaries, Christie spent her early childhood in Brazil; her father being a pastor in the Presbyterian Church. She graduated from Davie High School in the class of 1984 and went on to attend Montreat-Anderson College. In 1989, she earned a degree in Printing Technology from GA Southern University, and worked in that field for a time. She also enjoyed a 10-year career with Delta Airlines in reservations and as a flight attendant. But she gave this up to take care of her boys who were her legacy, passion, and life's work. Everything she did was for them. She was sacrificial and creative - all for them. Having a practical nature, Christy was a crafty seamstress who also enjoyed healthy cooking. She was an energetic hiker and runner, running a half marathon. Christie travelled extensively in the US and abroad and delighted in photography. She was a selfless and loving steward of her time and resources, volunteering often in the classroom as well as organizing Backpack Buddies (food program for needy children) and being like a mother to neighborhood children. She will long be remembered as a wonderful friend. Surviving, are her loving husband of 23 years, Howard Kraft; and her three beloved sons, Koen, Avery, and Tristan Kraft. Other survivors include siblings, Holly Gridley and her husband, John, of Cartersville, GA, Julie Ferreira and her husband, Marcello, of Cazenovia, NY, Paul Revis of NYC, , and Peter Revis of Lyons, GA; 5 nephews; one niece; a sister-in-law, Janice Ludden of Hainesport, NJ; and in-laws, Jim and Fran Kraft of New Jersey. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 31st at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. James Kraft officiating.
