Mrs. Chris (Ella Mae) Hutchens Cromer, 71, of King passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010 peacefully in her home. She was born October 12, 1938 in Yadkin County to the late Gaither Stanford Hutchens, Sr. and Mary Magdalene Hoots Hutchens. Chris enjoyed cooking, fishing trips to the beach, working at Boman Gray Stadium, and spending time with her family and friends. Surviving is her husband, Glenn Patrick Cromer; her children, Stanford William Ziglar, Paula Ziglar Noorani, and Joy Lynn Ziglar Tilley; her grandchildren, Amanda Ziglar Smith (Danny), Andrea Ortiz Cruz (Jaime), Travis Tilley, Megan Theis (Joshuah), and Austin Ziglar; her great grandchildren, Alexander Ortiz, Chase Millraney and Maggie Smith; her siblings, Gaither Stanford Hutchins, II, Jeanne Lynne Hutchens and Dorothy Baity; and she would have included her friends and patrons of Boman Gray Stadium. The Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 12 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Jim Saul officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 11 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4 A Oak Branch Dr., Greensboro, NC 27407.
