KERNERSVILLE - Chester Donald ""Don"" Stultz, 83, also known as ""Slim"", passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015, at his home. Chester was born on September 30, 1932 in Stokes County to Raymond R. and Pearly O'Livia Watson Stultz. Chester was a Veteran of the US Army. He worked for Hennis Trucking as a Diesel Mechanic for 19 years, and later retired from Pilot Freight Trucking. In addition to his parents, Chester was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Sheppard Stultz; and two sisters, Doris ""Dot"" May Bullins and Mary ""Joe"" Josaphene Lawson. Surviving are six children, Boyd Stultz, Darrel Stultz (Kay), Karen Wilson (Tim), Roger Stultz (Susan), Paul Stultz (Kathi), Charles Stultz (Michelle); 16 grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren; one brother, Norman ""Buck"" Stultz; and special friend, Hazel Byrd. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Dr. Joe Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans, 251 N.
