Chester Lee "CL" Gordon, Jr

Chester Lee “CL” Gordon, Jr, 98, passed away on November 23, 2023. He was born on January 4, 1925, to Chester Lee Gordon, Sr., and Lula Mae Griffin Gordon in Davidson County. CL enjoyed a successful career as a life insurance agent and retired from Western and Southern Insurance Company in 1983. He was a man of faith who will be dearly missed. CL was preceded in death by his wife, Edna, and a great grandson, Tyler Allen. Surviving are his two loving daughters, Donna Smith (Richard), and Ronna Kennedy (Jim); grandchildren, Tracey Dobson (Stacey); Kristi Maurer (Michael), Neal Smith (Pam), Kimberly Brannock (Jerry); 4 great grandchildren Jared Shaffit (Savannah), Scarlett Shaffit, Braeton Mauer, and Ethan Mauer; an extended family and many friends. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Bobby Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt.
