Cherrill Mcfarland

Belews Creek – Cherrill Ann Vanderburg McFarland, 63, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at her home. She was born on May 27, 1959, in Broward County, Florida to the late Bessie Kemp and Byron Vanderburg. Cherrill was a hard worker, loved to cook, and managed several different restaurants for many years. She eventually retired from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School as a school cafeteria manager. Cherrill loved to spend her down time reading, traveling, and vacationing every chance she could. She had big family and loved them all dearly.

In addition to her parents, Cherrill was preceded in death by several half and stepsiblings.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard McFarland; two sons, Richard Alan McFarland, and Garland Nester; one daughter, Jessica Ann McFarland; five grandchildren; four half-sisters, Barbara Garcia, Karen Green, Ruth Sterling, and Deanna Souza; two stepsisters, Margaret McKnight, and Dilly Chandler; two half-brothers, Danny Duffy, and R. Langston; and one stepbrother, Marvin Primo.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, June 3, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Don Jones officiating. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
