Chau Van Nguyen

Chau Van Nguyen, age 61, entered into eternal rest on July 20, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife, Hoa Thi Nguyen, his son Khanh Van Nguyen and his daughter, Anh-Dao Thi Nguyen. Chau immigrated to Winston Salem in 1981 following his service in the South Vietnamese Army. He has resided in Winston Salem since his arrival and has contributed his hard work in the steel industry for over the last 23 years. Chau was a loving father and friend who was known for his witty humor and smile. He was a hard worker and dedicated his incredible talents and life to manual labor to raise his family. He enjoyed traveling to Vietnam often to visit relatives and make charitable contributions to help rebuild his native country. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller, 3315 Silas Creek Parkway from 4 P.M. to 9 P.M. and on Monday, July 22, 2013 from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M. We welcome any donations to be made in his honor to help children living at orphanages in his hometown, Saigon (unofficially) to have the same chance at life that he gave to his children.
