Mrs. Charlotte Virginia Pope Leach, 92, of Winston-Salem and more recently a resident of Abbotts Creek Center, Lexington, NC, went home to be with her LORD and SAVIOR Thursday, July 14, 2016. She was born June 6, 1924, in Forsyth County to Lillian Collins and Ira Rupert Pope. Mrs. Leach's first job was at R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. She retired from Stanley Home Products as an Area Sales Manager, after starting as a dealer and working 50 years. One of the highlights of her life was being a member of the NC Women's Federation for 13 years. She had the privilege of Meeting President Ronald Reagan. She was a member of Hopewell Moravian Church, which she loved her church and everyone! Mrs. Leach dearly loved her husband of 61 ½ years and all her family! She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd M. Leach, Sr.; her parents; two brothers, J.S. and Wilburn Pope; son-in-law, Thomas W. Jones; daughter-in-law, Sylvia Leach; and two step-granddaughters, Donna Walters and Wendy Trueblood; three sister-in-laws, Dorothy Pope, Dorothea Nell Leach and Barbara Roggenkamp. She is survived by two daughters, Yvonne Jones and Gina (Phil) Hill; a son, Marshall Leach; a granddaughter, Tammy Leach; six grandsons, Chris Jones, Travis (Jackie) Jones, Daren (Lisa) Hill, Warren Hill, Rick Leach, and Adam Leach; step-granddaughters, Cathy (Bobby) Comer and Tracy (Bob) Wislick; great-grandchildren, Mckinley and Gabriel Leach, Cody, Dalton, Ashley and Carley Jones, Meigan (Matt) Keen, Zach (Kasi) Henderson, Seth, Noah, Savannah and Anna-Maria Hill; step great-grandchildren, Joshua (Amy) Walters, Tasha (Jason) McCray, Tori and Ian Wislick, Sydney and Alex Comer; great-great-grandchildren, Haillie and Abel Keen and Zoei Henderson; step great-great grandchildren, Emma and Bryce McCrary, J.J., Rylan and Avalon Walters; dear brothers, Bobby and Wayne (Carolyn),, and Terry (Judy) Pope and a dear sister, Faye (Nelson) Goolsby; a sister-in-law, Hilda (Bill) Elliot and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Monday, July 18, 2016 at 2:00pm, at Hopewell Moravian Church. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hopewell Moravian Church, 701 Hopewell Ch. Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
