Charlotte Parker Irwin

Charlotte Parker Irwin, 94, Clemmons, NC. Charlotte was born in November, 1917 and was raised in Baltimore, MD before moving to Rutherford, NJ in 1957 with her husband and 3 children, where she raised her family until moving to Clemmons, NC with her daughter in 2009. Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother passed from this life, April 26th, 2012 to be with her husband, Dr. Robert C. Irwin, who preceded her in returning to our Lord on August 20, 2006. She is survived by two sons, Robert Frazier and Hugh Clark and her daughter, Elisabeth Anne; five grandchildren; eleven Great Grandchildren, and pre-deceased by her Great Granddaughter, Madison Irwin. Her eventful and fulfilling life included activities with the Rutherford Women's Club, The Meadowlands Museum, The Rutherford Players, and a business venture appraising and selling antiquities and collectibles. She traveled extensively, finally achieving a trip to Scotland in her 90th year. She taught embroidery, furniture restoration and history as a docent with the Meadowlands Museum and entertained generations with her tales and adventures. She will be missed and mourned by many, who will rejoice in her final journey to eternal life. Donations in her memory may be made to the Kip Center in Rutherford, NJ and the Special Olympics, which she embraced as only a mother can appreciate. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on May 10, 2012, 1:00 pm at Grace Episcopal Church on W. Passaic Ave. in Rutherford, NJ. Inurnment will be in a private family ceremony at Greenmount Cemetery in Baltimore, Maryland, prior to the Memorial Service.
