Charlotte Rebecca Williams Hartman
March 8, 1930 - September 15, 2014
Winston-Salem
Charlotte Hartman slipped quietly to her eternal home at the age of 84 on the evening of September 14th.
Born in Martinsville, Virginia, to John and Alma Williams, she lived most of her life
in Winston -Salem. She met the love of her life, Bill Hartman, while working at P.H.Hanes Knitting Company and celebrated 66 blissful years of marriage together.
Charlotte was passionate in her love of God, her immediate and extended family and the welfare of children. She ran a daycare for more than 30 years and loved to follow the accomplishments of her 'babies'. She advocated for the needs of all children at every opportunity.
Charlotte was a devoted and loving mother to her daughter Robin and considered her son in law, Harry, as a true son. However, her joy in life was the birth of twin grandsons, Harrison and Hunter Morris, who are in their junior year at Texas Christian University. Charlotte travelled to be part of all their major events, whether birthdays, sports, scholastic or musical.
Charlotte leaves behind her devoted husband Bill Hartman, daughter Robin Morris and husband Harry of Wichita, KS, grandsons Harrison and Hunter Morris of Wichita, KS, sisters Virginia Orr and Barbara Lynch, and wonderful nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own.
Her family invites you to visit with them from 1 to 4pm and join them in a Celebration of Charlotte's Life on Saturday, September 20 at Hopewell Moravian Church located at 701 Hopewell Church Road.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations online to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
