Charlotte Atkins Dillon

COLFAX - Charlotte Atkins Dillon, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away Friday, April 29, 2011, after a recent illness. Charlotte was born on March 13, 1920 in Colfax, NC to the late Will and Minnie Atkins.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Dillon.

She is survived by her son, Don Dillon, Jr. (wife Carolyn); a daughter, Diane Dillon (husband, Ron Lean); four grandchildren, Andy Dillon (wife, Heidi), Jennifer Dillon, James Lean (wife Heather) and William Lean; a step-grandson, Justin Price (wife, Samantha); six great grandchildren, Alexandria and Matt Dillon, Rachel and Colton Weitman, Wesley Lean and Sawyer Price; a brother, Hamp Atkins of Colfax; a sister, Katie Wilson of Washington, NC; a very special niece, Sandra Powell; and many special friends.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
