Mrs. Charlotte Carolyn Coe Christie, ""Granny"", 80, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014.
Mrs. Christie was born February 27, 1934 in Birch County, North Carolina to Numa Coe and Irene Coe.
Mrs. Christie was a member of Cottage Street Church of Christ in Winston Salem.
A loving daughter, sister, aunt, extraordinary mother, and devoted grandmother.
She will leave behind a Legacy and Memory that will never be forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alton Christie of 44 years, a daughter Tangee Hawks, and a
son Keith Christie. She leaves to cherish her memory to her children, Terry Christie of East Bend, Alton
(Benny) Christie Jr & wife Michelle of Winston Salem, Elizabeth (Beth) Livesay & Husband Chris of
Lexington. Her grandchildren Shawn Christie, Zachary Christie and wife Tiffany, David Livesay, Kady
Livesay and Madalyn Christie.
Her siblings, Mae Brewer of Yadkinville, Bill Coe of Dobson, Josie Wingler of Yadkinville, Phyllis Warden of
Yadkinville.
The way she lived her life was by the Proverbs 31: 10-31 ""Who can find the virtuous woman for her price
is far above rubies….""
A funeral service will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Boyers Chapel Church of Christ with Bro.

Lawrence Warden and Bro. James Percival officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family

will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the nursing staff and doctors of the 7th and 8th floor

of Forsyth Medical Center for their compassionate care.
