Mr. Charlie Howard Hodges, 81, passed away August 13, 2011 at the Hospice Home of High Point. He was born August 24, 1929 in Guilford County to the late William Hodges and Virginia Flynn Hodges. Mr. Hodges was a member of Lexwin Baptist Church, where he attended faithfully for years. Mr. Hodges retired from Westinghouse with many years of loyal service and he was also a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the US Army. Mr. Hodges was a loving husband, father, grandfather and very dedicated to all his friends. Mr. Hodges is survived by three sons; Mickey Hodges and wife Debbie of Lewisville, Randy Hodges and wife Janice of High Point and Jeffrey Hodges and wife Diana of East Bend, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two sisters; Delia Young of Indiana and Frankie Turney of Hillsville. A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM, Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Parklawn Memorial Park with the Pastor Erick Goff and Br. Danny Hauser officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the VFW Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Monday, August 15, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel from 3:00PM to 5:00PM.
