Charles "Chaz" Brewster, Jr.

Mr. Charles “Chaz” Dewayne Brewster, Jr., 31, of Winston-Salem, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 25, 2022.  Chaz was born in Forsyth County on August 4, 1991.  He enjoyed the outdoors and was an arborist in the tree removal business.  He was a member of the NC Chapter of Slow Rider Scooter Club.  Chaz had a heart of gold and a smile as large as his stature that would light up the room.  He gave the best bear hugs and had a wonderful sense of humor.  He was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.  Chaz was preceded in death by his father, Charles Dewayne Brewster, Sr. and maternal grandmother, Nancy Meredith.  He is survived by his mother, Patricia Stacey and her husband, Shawn of Winston-Salem; one sister, Brittany Brewster of Winston-Salem; niece and nephew, Giovani Amaya and Gazaida Gonzalez; half-sisters, Andrian and Shayna Brewster; maternal grandfather, John Marshall Jones; and aunts and uncles, Donna Shreve and husband, Kevin, David Jones, Mark Jones, Shannon West and husband, Adam, and Tracy Jones.  A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, October 3, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Jason Holley officiating.  Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 10:45 until 11:45 am on Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.
