Mr. Charles Edward White, 81, of Winston-Salem, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. White was born in Cleveland County on April 24, 1929 to Everett and Bertha Hunt White. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. Mr. White retired from Bahnson Corporation and was an ordained minister. He was a member of Abundant Grace Tabernacle of Kernersville. Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Lois McDaniel White; a son Larry Eugene White; two brothers, Ralph White and J.D. Newton; and a sister, Pearl Hoyle. He is survived by his daughters, Marilyn Crocket and husband Louis of Clemmons, Linda Williams and husband Jim of Wallburg, and Charlene Jones and husband Daryl of Roanoke, VA; eight grandchildren, Teresa Ayers (Norman), Teena Martin, Chris Martin, Valarie Floyd (Brian), Justin White (Courtney), Jared Jones, Jessica Williams, and Anna Miller (Rodney); nine great grandchildren, Clay and Samantha Ayers, Ethan Wade, Kayla, Christina and Codi Martin, Hannah Floyd, Makayla and Caleb Miller; a brother, Kenneth White; and his best of friends, and ""mall buddies"", Bea and Lil. A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 pm Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Mike Jefferson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 3:00 pm. Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
