Charles Edward Taylor

LewisvilleMr. Charles Edward Taylor, 75, passed away at his home on Saturday, December 21, 2013. He was born in Carroll County, Tennessee on September 6, 1938 to the late Edward Jackson and Frances Rosser Taylor. Charles grew up in Memphis, TN and later joined the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and he served on the board of the Baptist Retirement Centers. He retired from Lowes Home Center after 23 years of service where he was Vice-President of store operations in the South Central Region. Charles had a passion for Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child even traveling to Honduras to distribute shoe boxes. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Nancy Taylor of the home; son, Stanley Edward Taylor (Linda) of Pfafftown; daughter, Marcia Taylor Parsons (Phil) of Cornelius, NC; six grandchildren, William Charles Taylor, Jackson Edward Taylor, and Katherine Ellen Taylor and Kinsley Rae Parsons, Camryn Spencer Ruth Parsons, and Stefan Charles Parsons; also surviving are two brothers, Earl Taylor (Wanda) of Greensboro and Brent Taylor (Suzanne) of Davidson, NC. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, December 23, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Byrum officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
