Charles C. Smith

Mr. Charles C. Smith, 61, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2008 at the Kate B. Reynolds hospice home. He was born July 31, 1947 in Person County to the late Charles Chambers and Doris Bowes Chambers. Charles was a member of Poplar Springs Church of Christ and was a Vietnam Veteran having served with the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a loving father and grandfather. Surviving are five brothers, one sister and several aunts, uncles, and friends. A memorial service will be held 6:30 PM Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Don Wallace officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
