Charles "Chuck" Russom

CLEMMONS – Charles Cubson “Chuck” Russom, 73, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Wake Forest Baptist Health. Chuck was born on June 8, 1951, in Shelbyville, IN, to the late Frank and Martha Jane Harper Russom. He served in the US AirForce Reserves and Army National Guard, and was a dedicated employee of Truist Bank for over 23 years. Chuck enjoyed playing softball and basketball in his younger years, and was an avid Nascar fan. His love of history led to many trips to Civil War Battlefields, that were a favorite among his travels.

Chuck loved family time and playing with his grandchildren. He was devoted to his family and friends – always putting everybody else first.

In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by an infant sister, Jo Ann Russom.

Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Jean Vogler Russom; two bonus children, Scott Swaim (wife, Carla), and Stephanie Swaim; two grandchildren, Grayson Swaim, and Alexandria “Ali” Allport (husband, Billy); two great grandchildren, Adeline, and Eloise; one brother, John Russom (Mary Kay); one sister, Janie Russom; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Boonville Community Cemetery with Chaplain Jeff Vogler officiating.
