Charles Mack Roberts

KERNERSVILLE-Charles Mack Roberts, 97, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born May 16, 1911 in Jonesville, Virginia to the late Andy and Flara Roberts. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by six sisters. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Eunice R. Roberts of the home; two sons, Dennis Roberts and wife Teresa of Kernersville, Gerald Roberts and wife Kathleen of Mooresburg, Tennessee; one daughter, Nelda Byrd and husband Marvin of Gray, Tennessee; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Hayworth Miller Funeral Home Kernersville Chapel with Dr. Stephen Martin and Dr. Robert Decker officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials my be made to Triad Baptist Church, 1175 S. Main St., Kernersville, NC 27284, or First Baptist Church, 401 Oakhurst St., Kernersville, NC 27284, or the Shepherd's Center of Kernersville, PO Box 2044, Kernersville, NC 27285.
